Commissioned by a communications company. This WWII soldier will be spotlighted holding the heavy box phone used by the troops. His hand rests upon the box, the other cradles the receiver.
Once installed within the museum, she is planned to sit before an authentic switchboard with the phone plugs in her hands
"There is something about abstraction that is alluring. It forces the viewer to look afresh at the textures, colors, and patterns of our world". David Ward
My plaster figures are life-size and molded directly on the body. They are hollow forms that are covered with many layers of plaster gauze. The dry forms are then painted with several heavy layers of acrylic paint for proper sealing.
These forms are individually made and tailored to your needs. Faces, poses, color and costuming will be unique to you and meet your specifications and historical needs. These forms should be considered "for viewing purposes only" as they are somewhat fragile. They are ONLY for indoor use and frequent relocation may weaken the integrety of the forms. With proper placement they will last for many years.
While you would be free to select the color of the forms, it is not recommended that painted facial features, hair or clothing be too variant from the overall color. These figures are intended to enhance your product or display and not to compete for attention. Special requirements of course can, and will, be considered.
