About

I hold a degree in Commercial Art, Art Education, and a Master's Degree in Fine Art.  I am centered in the  Midwest but have also lived and worked in both New Orleans, Louisiana and Dallas, Texas.

I was fortunate to be recognized as Art Educator of the year for Northeast Indiana in  2005 and again in 2013.  I am a 2008 Lilly Fellow and traveled to (Italy and) France where I studied the work of Vincent van Gogh and painted in many of the same locations. Some my work from that visit remain in private homes in Provence.

My commissioned sculptures can be found in a communications company in Elkhart, Indiana, the Eleanor and Edsel Ford home in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and the Center for History, North Manchester, Indiana.  Stateside, my paintings are as far west as Utah, and from there, the east coast.

Prints of my work

Canvas: The canvas is made by Fredrix (Tara Materials). It is a thick 350 gsm 2x1 19 mil, OBA-free, Ph-neutral, poly-cotton canvas that's perfect for photo or art reproduction. Combined with OEM archival water-based inks, this canvas will yield the maximum color saturation and longevity available today.

High Quality paper : The smooth fine art paper is a bright white, 100% cotton, 250gsm, Ph-neutral, archival medium made by Canon. It is the ideal paper when you need a discreet medium that won't interfere with the image.

Printing: I mostly use Canon printers and Canon inks, never cheap, underperforming compatible inks. I print on 2 materials: canvas, and Smooth Fine Art paper. To make sure the giclees last as long as possible, I use only archival, made-in-USA paper and canvas. Combined with OEM archival water-based pigmented inks, these materials will yield the longest-lasting, best-looking giclees available today.

Stretching: Giclees on canvas are put on stretchers made of thick domestic Basswood, available in 3/4" and 1 3/4" deep sides. Much larger and thicker than most, these stretchers won't bend or break. The giclees are stretched on these frames using proprietary equipment for a tight, precise fit that is impossible to achieve with pliers.
